Hello:

We are upgrading our submission requirements for Vector (EPS) files and want you to know what to expect in the very near future.

Starting Monday, December 21st you may:

1) Upload Vectors that are compatible with Illustrator 10.

PLEASE NOTE: If you do upload Illustrator 10 files, please add this keyword to each Illustrator 10 file: EPS10

2) We will continue to accept files that are compatible with Illustrator 8

3) With both Illustrator 8 and Illustrator 10 files you may submit with a new maximum limit of 15 MB.

4) The JPG Preview requirement stays exactly the same. Please continue submitting your low-res JPG previews along with your Vector files.

5) Current Illustrator 8 Vector files that are in your portfolio now will remain untouched. This change only affects the kind of file you upload to us and nothing else.

These new submission requirements will enable you to create the complex designs that you want to upload. Some of you should also experience less Color Profile & Transparency rejection issues, as examples.

Please Note: We want to see the type of Illustrator 10 files you submit to us as well as the Illustrator 8 files that you are accustomed to submitting. Experiment. Be creative.

We thank you for submitting the quality work that you do and we look forward to reviewing your new Vector format files soon.

Great news, thank you very much!
Just to clarify - does that mean that at some point in the future SS will stop accepting AI 8 files altogether?
Or will AI 8 still be accepted along with AI 10?

It seems like during the transition period they will accept both. However after that transition period they will only be accepting AI 10

This is great news. It will be cool to finally be able to work with opacity, transparencies and circular gradients!

Does that mean that vectors made in Inkscape will no longer be acceptable after the transistion period?

I tried to upload EPS bigger than 5 Mb yesterday, but it was rejected, why?
