Its funny, the anonymous reviewer says her post was explained the wrong way. Yet after reading 25 pages, it seems that only 5 people understood what she was trying to bring across. Yet the other 100odd people got it wrong. I wonder what the problem is the, the way the first post was written or are all these 100odd people stupid?
I agree that OP of the reviewer is extremely negative and, and the 2nd post of the reviewer is an attempt to come across as positive. The damage is done in the first post because thats written with the heart on the sleeve.
If I had found myself writing an article like that about my job, I would have quit my job same day. Dont say I wouldnt have, because I have done it before. I work to live, I do not live to work.
I do agree that the first post is very discouraging. And you cant say its not. Thats for the reader to decide. Its about how the reader perceives the message, its not about what the writer tries to bring across. If you cant bring across what you actually meant, then it poorly written. And from what I understand it was written to explain the gruelling day of a reviewer. But in the process of doing that she basically slagged off a lot of people, the people that provide her salary, or part of.
Anyhoo, just my opinion. The post does have me worried of what to submit to SS, but then again, why would I worry about the horror the reviewer has to go through? Its a free world, they can quit anytime they want to. I only want to get my photos accepted on SS and thats all that matters. But I will make damn sure the reviewer gets a smile on their face when they hit the accept button on my photos.
Edit: yay, I am the first one in 2012 to post to this thread ;-) I think the 10 photo submission must have changed the life of the reviewer drastically. |
