Please do not do this. All you have to do is enter the plural only. It will show up in searches for the plural and the singular form.

Setho, I don't submit identical images or even images that are close to one another (see my portfolio). In the example of "airline" vs "airlines" the split is about 50/50 where I use one of the two. I do have three images of rare airplanes that are almost identical but only because one has full livery as editorial and one as unmarked. I don't believe they represent any abuse of the system.

If the reviewers feel that you have submitted too many similar images, it is up to them whether they want to accept them or give you a warning. I am trying to help you avoid getting a warning. That's all. Using the plural is the best idea in this case.

wood / woods

Don't know exactly, but is 'woods' the plural of 'wood'? And can 'wood' be the singular of 'woods', given the fact, that 'woods' is a singular word itself?

Setho, I'm aware that to be safe I should put the plural in for keywords. However, bible/bibles is a curious one. For some reason, a search for "bible" (no quotes) does not find the 22 photos that have the keyword "bibles". That seems to be the exact opposite behaviour to most other keywords (e.g. detail/details, banana/bananas).

Well, your first problem is that you are spelling "boobie" wrong. It is "booby". Look here:

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/booby

If you do a search for "booby" and "boobies" you will get 20 results for both.

Enjoy!!!!

no no no! In the UK it is Boobie! :o)

Okay, I don't intend to be rude or disrespectful, but at the risk of pissing Seth off again I'm afraid I have to say this one more time. This system does not work. Words that have been brought to your attention months and months ago still have not been fixed. Yesterday in a different thread about the same issue you told people to stay calm and to be patient, that the technicians are working on the issue. With all due respect Seth, I no longer believe that to be true. This has been a problem now for close to 2 years! How long do you expect us to be patient? We are losing sales because the system won't let us enter words that pertain to our images. If smile and smiling do not return the same results then you have to let us enter both words in our keywords. The same applies for the thousands of other word combinations that don't work right.

Why does SS continue to refuse the simple solution of letting us enter our own plurals? I just don't get it.

I realize I may be the most vocal on this issue, but looking through the forums I am certainly not the only one concerned about it. It keeps coming up over and over again.

I think it will be an easy sollution to just allow single and plural words, so everyone can decide for themselves especially for the most important keywords. And you still get a message that you have to stay under 50, so that shouldn't be a problem either.
With all the words that don't work, you can fill 300 pages on this forum, but that still won't be an effective sollution to this big problem.

Oh, and it's not even only single/plural issue, but what to think of the words paint and painting? One of them will be removed, but painting in my case didn't mean 'doing a paint job' but it meant a decorating item on the wall or in a museum.
