Jap I get that thanks a lot for the words of wisdom, I was meaning totaly different stamps but I scraped that idea, how about some cartoons? Ads and blogs and everything seem too simple I haven't seen anything special that inspired me too much yet. But I'm working towards it in my mind, i'm just afraid of not getting accepted if they are too simple. (Some good news though four of my photo's were accepted to hang in a pretty classy gallery in the city here amongst around 5 of the best photographers pic's, yay...!!!) Really needed that!!!

I think cartoons should work :) And also you could try some seasonal images, like Christmas or Halloween.

Forums are not that busy on weekends :)

"Tick on button" - I like it, only I would make the colors more intensive, the blue seems greyish to me.

"Love new" - its much better with the font, if you created it, you should use it. Without the letters, it looks too plain and I wouldnt count on it being accepted.

"Grunge leaves" - I would use different colors (various shades of green with white) and I would remove the stars. But I think there is too many of similar backgrounds at Shutter already.

"Save the world" - I very much like the idea, only it looks a bit flat to me. I would use more gradients both for the globe and the flower-pot, it would make the image "deeper" and increase the contrast. I quickly did something to show what I mean, I hope you wont mind (if so, I apologize). Im really passionate about gradients, I add them wherever I can :) But if you think its useless suggestion, just ignore it :)

"Little monsters" - I love these, they look great and I bet they will be accepted.

Yaeh that looks way better I agree but I'm still a little new to the whole shiny thing how do you get those gradients so nice? What program do you use, doesn't seem like too much going on during the week either I would just like sum more feedback from others. Thanks a lot for your tips though they help a lot...

I use Adobe Illustrator CS4 but I didnt use any technique that wouldnt be available in older versions, I think definitely CS2 allows that too.

For flowerpot I just used linear gradients, for globe there are two radial gradients plus two areas filled with black, blend mode "multiply" and opacity 5%, which partially cover each other. If you are really serious about vectors, I recommend you find some good tutorials on web, I had to go through many until I got some basic grasp of it. My favourite is www.vectips.com but generally there are so many great tuts on internet I sometimes dont know where to look first :D If you use Corel or Inkscape, Im sure there are tutorials for them too.

However, there is one risk with gradients, blend modes and opacity - it may lead to bitmapping of the objects (which is a reason for rejection). I dont know in which version you save your vectors but I always use EPS10 to avoid bitmapping when I use radial gradients and reduced opacity. If you save as EPS8, then you cant use radial gradients and some other techniques, and even if you save as EPS10, you must be careful - there is a good article about it on Shutterbuzz which helped me a lot:

Plus there are other articles about submitting vectors on Shutter, you should go through them all. I didnt and my first ten were rejected, then I was pretty upset I had to wait another 30 days :)
