Gonna try this again.
uploaded 10 on Monday and got 8 of them accepted yesterday so lets see what happens to them?
This disappearing of files for me coincided with the Facebook app not working for me (which it still doesn't).
Could the two problems be connected somehow? |

6 photos disappeared in my portfolio. And in Shutterstock base I found them just in category New. In all other categories they are missing too. I downloaded this photos on last week and they disappeared yesterday:

The 3 missing pictures are still missing both in the gallery and in the search.
This is one of the reasons why I don't go exclusive. If your income depends on a faulty gallery/search machine....??
And this is one of the reasons for not shooting 'news' dependent pictures only. By the time they are found and online.... The news is history.
Lets hope SS finds the cause and a proper solution fast.... |

Thanks I was wondering if I should ask the same question since mine have gone missing for a week now since acceptance.
BTW I do have sales, so I know someone can see them in NEW.
But I kind of figured SS knows there's something wrong and they are working on it. I don't know if individual messages were really helpful or necessary? |

Hi,
We still (>4 days now!) have 4 images missing from the gallery:

88250989
88250992
88250995
We tried to reupload them, but new images were rejected saying they already existed in the database. Oh yeah, do they really???
Moreover, the most popular images seems not to have been updated for a number of days now. So all our other new pictures, being visible and searcheable, only get sales on the first day (when in 'new' section) and then are burried...
These issues really drive us crazy! Being not totally alien to software development, we can say that it is completely ridiculous that tracking down and fixing a database data integrity issue takes so much time!
We understand that SS is not a simple HTML page at all, but it's not a rocket science either. And we know that if the issue like this is given enough attention and priority, it normally takes no more than 24h to create and deploy a fix to ANY complex software solution or website. Seeing this kind of troubles for several weeks without a solution is really not acceptable and really a BIG SHAME!!! |

True but the thread is also useful for all contributors to regularly check if the problem is getting worse (affecting more people, more images), remaining the same or getting better. Since we dont have any info from shutterstock support other than that they are working on the problem, we must keep informing each other about the number and frequency of missing images. |
