Hallo! I am italian and so it's sometimes hard to understand the exact and current meanings of english words. One of my picture, portraing the back of an old statue in foregrounda and an old building behind the foreground has been rejected because of "watermarks not allowed". well...I couldn't translate this word. help me please.

A watermark is the SS mark that they put on approved photos or if you put your copyright mark on one it is considered a watermark.

The watermark is usually a name or logo that is put on a photo to protect it's usage. For example, all the photos that you see on Shutterstock have the Shutterstock logo on them, that is a watermark.

It sounds like you have made your own watermark on your photo. You can do this in Photoshop by using "Embed Watermark". But you can not submit photos to SS if you have put on your own watermark.
