Yeah! I like that. I'm going to guess again . . . this is Lower Antelope Canyon.

Very cool pics. I like the sky in the first Grand Canyon pic.

I'd like to see your take on Valley of Fire. Show us more!!!

Thanks guys for the positive comments. I am also very happy with many shots.

Yes Mike, you are right on...this is Lower Antelope.

I will post some additional pictures (Grand Canyon, Antelope, Zion and Valley of Fire) over the weekend.

As I said above, this region is a photographers dream come true. Opportunities for great shots wherever you look!

Keep bringing 'em on! I'm loving them........that's quite the fabulous Antelope Valley pic! It really gives the feel of being in a slot canyon.

I used to live in Flagstaff (during college) and Williams area and so enjoy vicariously revisiting through pictures ;-) Part of my heart is still there.

Mike: That Grand Canyon field trip was quite the adventure, and I could write volumes about it ;-) Also, my father was a geology professor and had field trips to the canyon and other Southwest areas as part of his historical geology class agenda. When he passed away recently, many a student was at his memorial talking about those trips.

I am very frustrated.....

Of a batch of 20, 10 were rejected. Among the rejected ones was this on:

Rejected for Focus or Poor / uneven lighting or shadows.

Actually, poor uneven lighting or shadows or WB was the rejection reason for all of these:

These were also rejected for the same reason...

Maybe they expect you to be god and light up the entire Grand Canyon when taking photos :-)

But in all seriousness, I am sorry, they look like acceptable decent shots to me. Maybe they were looking for a bit more contrast and pop?

Why don't you post a few that got accepted. This might help to answer why some were accepted and others were not.
