This was the recommendation of the Inspector:

- We would suggest the following steps:
First Go to "Resources" then "Your Account"
Second Turn "Automatic FTP Processing" to "No"

This should solve the problem. Thanks! -

That's what I did and Filezila work fine for me.

My problem has been taking over a day for uploads to appear in the "to be keyworded" section.

Anyone notice this?

Rivstock, Thank you for this suggestion, I will give it a go.

Strange how though-out this forum thread and through multiple messages to the SS help, that this simple setting option has never been mentioned. I hope I never have any more technical issues here, the staff appear to have absolutely no interest in helping contributors, or answering messages at all for that matter.

I change the settings more than a week ago and try to upload several times. Yesterday I give it a last try and try also another ftp-program. Same problems!

Is there a one hour upload-limit???
Why we can’t resume anymore???

I'm glad to see someone with SS, "forumguru", had posted that tip. Didn't help much that it was posted in a forum thread concerning a different problem, so anyone with this problem would would not have found it easily. Thanks again for pointing it out.

A couple test videos appeared to upload correctly since changing that setting. However, after what seemed to be a flawless upload all the way to 100%, the files went into the "failed uploads" folder in Filezilla. And like others are saying, the videos are not showing up in the "to be submitted" area, yet. Been nearly 24 hours.

So, I noticed after a couple of days that the uploads now appear in a different area and need an additional click to "process" them, then they appear in the normal spot a few hours later. I assume this change was due to the settings change turning off this process automatically.

Uploaded 3 more files, all with the same "failed upload" status at the end of their time in filezilla, and only one of the three showed up on my page. So the ftp problems continue.

I have 300+ videos I'm sitting on, waiting for Shutterstock to start functioning correctly. At some point these ftp failing issues, over and over again without any support from the staff will prove to be a futile way to spend my time, and I'll start focusing my attention on competing websites.

Is it really that much trouble to get a serious response from someone that works for this company???

YES. Unfortunately. If this helps...SS recommends Cyberduck FTP. I just sent in 52 clips. No problem at all.

I've been using Filezilla here and elsewhere for five years. The problem just started a couple months ago. Most of the time the file makes it even though the ftp program shows it as failing. The "final" handshake between the SS server and ftp programs seems to be a problem. Since Filezilla didn't change I highly suspect a change at SS.

It’s definitive a SS ftp problem!

I test it with the newest versions of:
FileZilla
SmartFTP
Staff-FTP
FlashFXP

Always the same Problems.

My sales are good here and I can say they did a great job in this case but the service / feedback is one of the worst I ever seen. Not a good reputation for a professional company!

Files uploading to FTP OK through Cyberduck and Transmit but not showing up in the 'to be keyworded' que.
Have switched off auto FTP from the accounts settings to see if it coughs out a fur ball, but not seeing a prompt as expected?
Anyone have any suggestions or is the Video program on Shutterstock completely dead?

Can still only upload small files one at a time, ends with a fail message every time, still. Files over 300mb go into some sort of limbo. Wait a day for them to show to be keyworded, 2 days, over a week and there's just nothing there. Weeks of multiple threads and messages from multiple contributors with multiple FTP issues, and not a single acknowledgement from any staff.

Made some more ftp settings changes another contributor suggested in another related thread, changes no other website I use ftp with ever needed me to make before. I honestly don't think I have the time to do business with a company that ignores its contributors for so long about such a critical issue. Maybe I'll try cyberduck, but not sure why it matters when the problem is on Shutterstock's side.

On top of that, submitted a clip and realized I didn't mark it as editorial, and the edit screen doesn't allow me to change that. So now they will reject it, and I'll have to go through this time-consuming process all over again. Would send a message, but these issues mean nothing to the staff, so why waste more time.
