Hi all,
the problem you see, could be because you are using a video file format that shutterstock doesn't support.

Check and be sure that the file is in one of these formats:

.avi, .mov, .dv, .mpeg, and .mpg .

Otherwise your video won't be visible, spite of FTP succeed.

Good luck!

There are other means of protest. What if you just organise a petition, or a letter, signed by some big players and loads of regular contributors, and get that to SS? Wont they take that serious?

Just a thought.

I suspect it's a speed issue. My uploads seem to make it through during quieter times of the day. Smaller files seem to make it through too. I've wondered about power settings on my machine, i.e. machine going to sleep / screensaver etc.....

This is annoying, files uploaded to FTP but not showing up in the 'to be keyworded' que.
Need to upload same clip 2 or 3 times to be visible for submission.

tried to upload 3 last night and none of them showed up. Starting over again. I don't use this for my photos for this reason. It's annoying that it's the only option for footage.

It's really getting frustrating, another 7 clips failed, sure wastes a lot of time. Same filezilla I've always used (five years now)and no other agency has failed ftp problems.

Please fix this FTP problems and give us some alternative way for footage uploads.
All of my videos are with same file format and codec settings so that can't be reason for not showing in place for submission.
Thanks

By the Way I am not tinafelton, I dont know why is that name on forum when I log on my account!

Same issue here Don. Uploads went normal until 3 days ago, not a clip has made it through since then.

Hope it will be resolved soon!

I know they are looking hard into it, they called me on the phone to discuss exactly what is happening. I'm sure they are taking this serious and working to figure out what has changed on their server that is now causing this.

No doubt about that, surely they want to have the issue resolved as much as we do.

What happens with me is that the files get transferred properly and land in my account. Automatic Processing is turned off, so these files still have to be processed. When I do that, however, the clips seem to vanish completely, and never appear in my 'to upload' section.

Same here, about 30 of my last file uploads have failed. Haven't gotten anything up since last week. I had been getting error messages before, often clips didn't make it or occasionally a whole batch would fail, but at least some would get through. Now everything is failing.

For now, I'm going to have to stop uploading. Don't see any alternative at this point.

I have a couple of files still in my Clips to be Submitted section from last week, so the Clips to be Submitted link shows. When I click that link I can see a long list of all the files I tried to process showing error messages. So they haven't disappeared completely, I can see the failure messages in my account, but they're failing after processing.

After they process, this is what I'm seeing in my account:

I have the same problem. I upload via ftp but the file never makes into the upload section. If I refresh cyberduck, the file has vanished. Tried it for three days, gave up and sent an email to support. Hope they solve it soon.
