I've got my first commercial shoot for many years in a couple of weeks and would appreciate some advice please.
In short, I will be doing some corporate headshots and shots of people working or interacting in an office environment, and I'd like to use the best images as part of my portfolio on my website. So, although the images are mine does this count as commercial use and therefore do I need a release to put those images up on my site?
Cheers! |

Yes you will because it is really the same if you were just using a model. Even though you retain copyright to the shots Shutterstock requires a release. |

Oh Ok. I thought you wanted to use them for stock. If they are just for your own use you can use them how you wish BUT I would still have them sign a standard release form that you use for your business so they can't come back later and say you did not have their permission. |
