Only 7 more days to go!
I am teaching classes Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday with a private class on Friday, so flat out busy right up until leave :-)
I have to start packing as I am hunting and photographing, so extra bag will be in order, I guess.
Meeting up with Kenny and Geoff in Wellington , just don't know which day yet, but in the first week, probably the 20th.
First and second week hunting in the North Island.
28th will be flying down to Queenstown then driving to Te Anau, Lake Manappouri, doing a day trip by boat up Doubtful sound on the 1st of May (my Wifes B'day for part of her present), then driving back to Queenstown, Wanaka, over Haast Pass, up the coast stopping at Fox and Franz Joseph Glaciers, then on up to Nelson and ferry back to Wellington.
Fourth week back down to Kiakora for some hunting and wildlife photography.
From past years
Me in Kiakora Seaward Range mountains

We'll try not to have too many earthquakes while you are here. :-)
Looking forward to meeting you and Ken. |

Does your wife hunt with you? And what will you hunt there, deer?
Have a great time, Jeff! |

Sounds great I spent 2 weeks there in 1990 or 91. Try to get to Milford Sound. I thought that was the highlight of my time there. |

No Candy, Susan does not hunt that is why she is coming down for one week of the 4 :-)
And yes I will be hunting Red Deer, fallow deer, and possibly Sika deer, maybe even a Chamois, wild goat, rabbit and Australian possum, all of which are non indigenous species. |

Milford is beautiful, but the locals say Doubtful is bigger, and grander, so we are going on a boat trip for the day up Doubtful, unfortunately will not have the time to do both.
I hunted around Lake McKerrow, (just north of Milford) in 2003 shot several Red deer on that trip, boy were they tasty :-) |

Queenstown is absolutely amazing. You should check out Dunedin when you are in the South, amazing place, lots of albatros and whales.
So freaking jealous, I need to do that trip again, when I have proper gear and also when I am old, like you guys ;-) |

But how lovely she will be down there for part of the time.
Are you able to bring all the meat home? (not sure I'd bother bringing possum home---LOL) |
