Welcome to New Zealand, we are a long way from the rest of the world, but everything we have is close to each other.

You can be snow skiing in the mountains and one hour later be surfing in the sea.

We also have amazing light in New Zealand, which is why making movies has NZ as a popular location. Lord Of The Rings movies being a prime example.

Hey thanks for the well wishes my friends!

Hiked in the Wairarapa, from sea level up to the tops, got a panorama from the top of one high spot of the Ocean Beach area in the distance, unfortunately not going to work for stock, but fun none-the-less :-)

Here is a non panoramic shot from the same spot

I have been doing lots of panoramas, and this laptop is not grunty enough to do them, so will not be submitting any for another couple of weeks.
Have more of the wildlife of New Zealand, Doubtful Sound was a very nice trip, quite expensive, but very worthwhile, and as luck would have it a perfect day weather wise. SInce it was my wife's birthday we had a really nice dinner at a retaurant in Te Anau.
Very nice folks running the B&B's we have stayed at.
Queenstown was as beautiful as ever, note to self need to stay more than one night next time, missed the sunrise on the Remarckables (a mountain range).
Got a panorama there of the Lake and town, tried for something other than the Tourist Gondola classic view.
Heading up to Nelson today

Here is another of the New Zealand flightless birds that are endangered by the introduced stoats, weasels and Australian possums.

Surprised you had a camera after shooting the kea. They are well known for dismantling things and stealing the parts. :-)

Another introduced species that have now been farmed, this group of male Red deer have had their antlers cut off while in velvet. The antlers are sold to Asian clients who believe there are some medical benefits, while much of the venison is sold to European clients, in particular Germany and some to the US
