Get your Fall images and Halloween stuff in now. That'll carry you through the summer. I've started seeing Fall images sell already. Still a little early for Thanksgiving and Christmas images. Maybe in another month or two. |
I don't have either one - and can't see a way to get either one...LOL
Same with Thanksgiving. |
I shot mine last Fall and just sat on the raw images. Just getting around to processing and uploading them now. Do the same for your Spring/Summer stuff. Shoot it now and hold it until late in the year to upload. |
So for seasonal stuff, being in the opposite hemisphere could prove to be quite useful then. Obviously Date based holidays make no difference, but since we are in Fall now we can take, process and upload as the seasons happen and be in good time for the demand.
In theory at least. :-) |

My BME in terms of downloads was...oh...back in 2007 when Shutterstock was still small. LOL Past two months, though, my earnings have been knocking on the door of a BME without having added much of anything the past three years. Shutterstock is definitely doing something right!
And then there's BigStock...holy moly! Past two months have been ROCKIN'! This month especially. CRUSHED my previous BME with earnings at 1.5 times higher. Last month was great, too, but not this great!
Gotta hand it to Jon. He knows how to run a stock agency that is profitable for all. Can't say the same about the others. |

Not BME but shaping up nicely to come into 2nd place in income, and 2nd/3rd place for number of downloads. |

My best months are always Sept, Oct, Nov and Dec.
Rest of the year is very good...as long as I make more on the same month as last year I'm happy and so far(knock on wood)that is what seems to happen...in other words steady growth.
So I guess it's a BME for April after beating last year's total $200 more! :) happy face |

congrats LAurin. i had bme in March. april is not bad either considering lost images and holidays but still not as good as march. |

Congrats Laurin. March was my best month ever too in $$. April was second best month ever in dls; $$ close but missed being BME by an EL. |
