I can't believe this thread hasn't started already. If it has and I missed it please excuse me.
I like the new look and logo, I prefer the green over the red. Green is fresh, pure and clean. Red is danger and hot, stop, don't touch. I'm surprised they changed over to red. I do like the concept behind it. I'm sad the featured lightboxes are gone. :( Those were always interesting I thought and increased sales if your image made it in that particular lightbox. I did notice that my sales were about half of what they normally are today. I wonder if the new look has anything to do with this? What does everyone else think? Have you noticed an increase or decrease in sales? |

I *thought* of starting a thread. ;)
I like the new logo and the new colors too, they set SS apart from the rest... bold and modern.
There is a lightbox (viewfinders) there but you have to mouse over the features and click to find it, which I don't think is good, and the clickable stomp page is missing, that's a shame too.
My sales weren't great today, but I don't know if this has anything to do with it.
There's lots of errors when trying to post in the forums as well. It seems to happen every time they make a change. |

Good point on the colors and they did keep some green I noticed on the search button and other areas. I got an error too when I first went into the forums.
I didn't even notice the arrows to click over on the features, but there's really only one lightbox now unless you count the Vintage and retro as one. Hmmmm? I think the arrows should be present and not when you move your mouse over them. A customer won't know there is more if they don't move their mouse over that area.

I like the new look on the front page, but I'm not a great fan of either red or gray -- I'm usually all for blue ;)
I do think the old green is lighter, the red and gray is heavy.
As for sales - today has been a little better than yesterday, and yesterday wasn't bad but not brilliant, either. |

Yep, he found himself a wealth of great old photos, must have taken some hard work to clean them up? ( I know nothing about old film). |

I have bookmarks that bypass the home page, one for forums and one for my stats. So I had not even looked at the home page. I just noticed in the bookmarks at the top of firefox that my little green SS logo had been replaced by a black and red one. Black and red! It looks like something from Halloween. Yuck. |

I'm not at all keen on the black and red logo that now shows up on my tabs in Explorer. Oh well, at least they are easier to distinquish from DT's, which were almost the same as SS's at that tiny size and the same green.
I do, though, really like SS's front page. The colors are nice enough, and it's all clean and simple to read.
Overall, I say, "Well done, SS staff!"
LOVE all the vintage pics----my gosh what a lot of work fixing and scanning them!! They are cute and fun to see! |

I have mixed feeling about it. At first I thought SS was hacked or something. I will wait and see more and then decide.
Also I find the message boards quite buggy at the moment. |

Loving the retro lightbox too, but why is it that none of the images need a model release? All it says is N/A |

I will miss those lightboxes . I don't like the limited number of images on the front page AND the fact that you just can't click on them ... that will all affect sales. I was only lucky to get my images 'up there' maybe 2 or 3 times, but it always meant more exposure. Even the free image/vector is hidden in the default view and one needs to click through.
Lets hope that clients like it. |

I preferred the green frankly over the red and grey, - they are murky colours. And I don't like the icon on the explorer tab - it looks drab and messy and it's hard ro tell what it is. Surely this is inconsistent with wanting a fresh clean look. |

I like it a lot, but I agree that the little ico on the page tab in browsers looks shabby in red and black, that would look better in black and red. |
