Hi everyone. Quick question.

I'm a concert photographer for a living, and plan on having most of my future submissions to shutterstock be concert photos. (if shutterstock even accepts me)

I'm about to submit my first 10 images in hopes they like my work. What percentage of my first 10 images should be concert photos? Should I have 5 concert images? 1 concert image? I'm lost.

Also, is there any hidden things I need to know when I do my first submission so I don't mess it up? I know the images have to be at least 4mp but what else am I missing?

I would first post those you are thinking of submitting in the Critique forum so we can take a look and give you some suggestions.

Aside from that when doing concert images you will have to submit them as editorial images which require a specific description which must be done exactly the way Shutterstock wants it. One mistake and it will be rejected. If you go to the Shutterbuzz area you will find the section that will help you in the Editorial section.

I would not submit 10 concert images for your initial submission. If they are not approved then you have to wait 30 days to try again. Because of the specifics needed with these types of images that will increase the possibility of having some rejected.

I suggest showing us a good cross section of what you have.

Yes, a cross-section to show your photographic abilities. Many/most concert shots seem to have non-standard white balance (colored lights) and high-contrast and if this is all the reviewers see in your ten shots you will probably be rejected.
