I sold one of my most popular photos and had to delete anything that was similar from my gallery. There was only one other photo like it in my gallery. You may need to ask about that. Also ask if you can still use it in your personal portfolio. Make sure they are aware of how many times it has been sold so if they do buy exclusive rights they don't see it in another place and come back blaming you for selling it after they bought it. If they want you to remove the other similar eye shots then the price went up as to them buying exclusive rights to all of the other eye shots. Don't sell it for nothing. Sell it for what makes you happy and comfortable living with. That's a very strong and popular image you have. I would figure out what you make on it a year then multiply that times 10 years. That's just my opinion. Not knowing what you make on it is difficult to say.

Jeff thank you a ton :) Your comments are well appreciated.By the way i send them mail to offer me price and told them about value of that shot...it was published numerous times, selling on 10 different agencies + has 12 more similar photos so it should cost them a lot.I have a price on mind and it isnt small...if they want to pay high cash..no probs i will delete all similar shots..if not who cares :) I will still have it in my port.Considering it is one of my best sellers it will always sell good :)

Thanks once again.

If the eyeworks are his trademark, best work and most popular photos, best sellers, etc, and they want him to remove those from his gallery/portfolio, they need to come up with a 6 number figure in my opinion. You cant ask a photographer to hand over his signature photos for 50k.

You're going to Disney World! Congrats!
Just make sure you have no regrets about that final number. You may want to touch base with a lawyer too. Good luck Mr. Map Eye

Haha, for 50K, you can have all my photos, all my camera gear and my first-born kid. He's a lazy, pot-smoking college student, so you'll be saving me money.

Yeah, same here, except I have no kids. But I mean for a successful photographer who actually has sales... lol ;P
