I think it's mostly bad focusing technique. Are you, the OP, using auto focus? If so how many focus points are enabled in the viewfinder? Did you correctly set the diopter? Are you using live view or whatever it's called or are you focusing by looking through the viewfinder? What are you focusing on? Where are you focusing? What f-stop are you using? Do you check the depth of field preview before you shoot? Are you shooting from a tripod? Are you zooming and shooting from the very ends of your lenses i.e. 24-70 mm lens are you shooting at 24 or 70?
