I think the focus is OK on the arrow sign, but the lighting is harsh, and cropping off the one side will kill its usefulness. Also the wires at lower left don't help. They should be cloned out.

The crucifix on the Bible is the most stockworthy image, but you have to nail the focus and improve the lighting (it's quite underexposed).

One of my images was recently rejected due to:

"We do not accept photograph which contain discernible text in or on any book."

And only two words were legible.

It was accepted by 2 other sites.

I also had text in a Bible rejected several years ago, so this is not new

Yeah, I forgot that. Happened to me as well. It's one area where they've really gone off the deep end in their fear of litigation. Book publishers are not going to sue over a few words showing on a page in a photo. (Haven't they ever heard of the Fair Use doctrine around here?)

I believe some of the new translations of the Bible are copyrighted but the King James certainly isn't.

Not sure why you say that. There are lots of other things that still matter that would help the poster here. Going out and redoing that photo of a flower with a blue sky background "in focus" won't help it get accepted. It would still get rejected for low commercial value. There are other things to work on in addition to focus.

The submitter here has a interesting eye for composition. There's some potential there with some more info to go on.

I'd recommend looking at the top sellers to get an idea of some stock content. Work on your commercial value, even maybe find some friends and family willing to pose for some images.

Looks in focus where you intended, but on an item like this, you'd probably need it all in focus so you need to increase your depth of field. Also, it's too gray. It should look more white. If you're going for isolated, the background needs to be pure 255 white.

I'm also not sure about the concept. It seems too simple for your first 10. Your first 10 really needs to be your best photography.

I submitted empty road signs and oranges for my first 10. I thought it was all about risk free KISS for the 1st 10
