2 - Didn't pass the exam. Please, critique the picture

This illustration didn't pass the examination. Reason: «Your image is not in focus or focus is not located where we feel it works best».

I made this picture in 3ds Max and Vue. I think, all objects of the scene are in focus and accurately visible. What may be the problem?

Once again this is really the wrong forum, try the illustration forum and I think you will get better help.

I think its a big compliment on itself to have them think its a photo ;-)

First of all, I really admire anybody who can create illustrations like that - way out of my league! If I might just be extra picky, I wonder about the scale of the white speedboat. Does anyone else think that it looks too big in comparison with the landing quay?

I think it's kinda cool in a strange way.But I can see why the reviewer might have rejected it. Maybe re-submit with a note explaining what it is?

Yes I know its an illustration, thats why I said its a big compliment on itself that a reviewer thought it was a photo :0)

Did you check the clip art/illustration box when you submitted it?

A tad flat maybe, give it a bit more contrast to enhance impression of focus?
