I got a few shots of the last eclipse that we had. I shot it at 400mm and cropped. I'm just wondering if one would be ok for the first ten.

interesting pictures, one that i would use once i was in but not for entry. Id use pictures that have more commercial value for the first ten. e.g. food or ppl

Stunning. They look sharp. I think they would work well for 1st 10. But wait for the experts to comment.

Nobody really knows. Eclipses are so rare I doubt many people have had the chance to use them in their first 10!

Good one.

I would see why not if they are sharp. Why would it be LCV? Its a rare event.

Hmmmm, on the other hand, why take the risk.

That would depend on how confident the OP is about his other 9 candidates!

I like them. Only thing I would do is on the first two, change the composition some so they're more similar to your third with some copy space, using the rule of thirds, but not so similar they all look the same. Like not all with the sun on the left. One or two could be on the right, or maybe a vertical. Switch them up a bit. Since the outside of those two are black, or close to black, you can move the sun around. I really like the one where you can see plasma or something coming out of the sun.

Makes sense. I was playing with the composition a little and couldn't decide what would be best!
Well... cv aside, (I know it's not aside but lets say it didn't matter) is there even enough quality here? I tried, but I realize there are tons of people that saw it that have way better equipment than me.

I think they are fine for first 10. I would have used them. But I am not experienced enough to call the shots on the first 10.

No one has given you a clear answer, I cant either. All I can say, I would have used them for first 10.
