I think in the past a lot of people never received any reply to their e-mails due to sending them to the wrong address. Easily confused ... we say send a message to support and that's the address they use. We probably should stop saying that and instead say send a message to submitter help or contributor help. At least we'd be pointing them in the right direction. Of course if we just gave the correct e-mail address that would take care of it. |

Here is another email address Shutterstock Review < review@shutterstock.com >
I also sent in 8 tickets about rejections last week, all emails answered in 24 hours. Some photos were accepted, for some they stood by their decision.
Anyhoo, they are changing their game, thats for sure. And trademark restrictions are getting tightened. |

I resubmitted for a second look. The same happened before, I resubmitted images, some got accepted without any change and already sold several times.
However, seems we have got some bugs again: accepted images don't appear in portfolio and not searchable.

Got the same review results. The same reviewer. Wrote an email to them. 80% rejected for composition. Anyone else experiencing the same problem?

I had 9 editorials rejected for wrong caption and trademark. Editorial photos of interiors need a property release. I wasnt aware of that. Nothing here about it http://www.shutterstock.com/buzz/legal/stock-photo-restrictions
Also I cant find anything wrong with the caption. http://www.shutterstock.com/buzz/creating-the-perfect-editorial-caption
"ST. LOUIS - JULY 8, 2012: The Budweiser brewery at the Anheuser-Busch headquarters hosts 300.000 visitors annually on July 8, 2012 in St. Louis. The complimentary tour is offered throughout the year."
All approved photos are missing and I havent had any sales since yesterday morning.

My missing image appeared yesterday, but odd rejections kill my will to do any work.

It looks like it takes about 3 days for images to show up these days... Oh well, as long as they show up, i guess.
The silly rejection reasons (to many on site and composition are my "favourite") are making me split up certain series, so atleast some make it online. The rejected ones i just upload again at a later time and so far they always got in. Which confirmes to me that the reviewer that rejected them in the first place was wrong. |

All my problems resolved...
Interiors always need a PR even for Editorial
First mention of the year had to be removed
All my photos appeared in my portfolio
And sales are back to normal |

It makes no sense to require a property release for the interior of a building if it's for editorial. That would suggest that a news team has to get a property release before using a photo or video any time they cover a story from inside a hospital, government building or entertainment event. That's just crazy. |

I know, but thats what SS told me in an email. Also a photo of my boots need a property release. Anytime soon and you need a property release for the photos you submit, to prove they are actually yours. |
