if your image is an editorial image you do not need a model release. my question is this:
for an editorial image are you allowed to show trademarks in the image? for example, say its an image of a professional golfer or racecar driver....they may have all sorts of trademarks all over their clothing.....is that acceptable?

Yes you can have logos, brand names etc in an editorial shot.
