...I meant I am having a lot very similar images because they were good sellers 2007/2008/2009 ... it worked good for me before ...I know I need more different shooting topics but it worked well so I did not change it so far...
... I was curious what sales other submitter has? ...is it only me not making any at least minimum SS paychecks?
...I have 104 dls. this month and 59,28$ ... would you like to share your data statistic? |

I'm sure there are lots of contributors that don't make monthly payouts and since everyone's portfolio is different it's really hard to compare yourself to others.
Think about how someone would use your images and try to expand the concepts. You are limited right now to customers needing to illustrate something to do with wine, alcohol, a little bit of entertaining with beverages where you've included holiday props, etc. Your pool of potential buyers is limited. You want to reach out to buyers illustrating other concepts. It would be a huge leap to go from what you do now to Medical, Sports, Industry, because it's so different but you can start by trying other beverages. Do you have access to wineries where you can include grapes on the vine, wine barrels, etc.? That gives your current market more options. As I suggested too, other beverages will help expand your market. Seek out concepts that can use beverages to illustrate them - sparkling water with a lemon for dieting, cranberry juice for antioxidants.
That's the key for you - find a way to take your obvious skills and start expanding the concepts that you can express with the images. |

My sales are very good. I make my payout and more each month. With my money from stock I have been able to buy all my equipment, take vacations and have a couple of savings accounts in which I add money each month.
Karen is absolutely correct. As we have said you have the ability to shoot glassware which is difficult to do. Now all you have to do is expand that to other types of shots other than wine.
Think of shooting things for seasonal reasons. Have shots done for summertime such as BBQs, picnics, days at the beach. Think perhaps some warming shots for the fall and winter such as hot cider, hot chocolate, mulled wine and so on. Make sure you do this early enough so you will get the sales. Right now you should be submitting images that are needed in the fall and starting the winter type shots. |

Here's a link to an article in Saveur magazine - it is geared to home chefs and food lovers. Click on the View Gallery link under the photo. 22 images of a variety of drinks and you could do every one of those better! I think it was #13 that showed something that was more "lifestyle" oriented with the drink on a napkin and a sliced piece of fruit nearby. A popular style right now and easy to set up.

Ooops - edited to add the link!
Here's your assignment - set up and shoot the following:
One Summer beverage
One Hot Winter beverage
One beverage for a child (everything you have are adult beverages - think about milk, juice, small sizes, sippy-cups, children's food in the background, etc. |
