Hello, I am sorry to ask similar question again. I found a photo from existing SS which is a Hong Kong tram run in street. However, the logo/trademark/advertisement clearly shows in the photo. Also, the building behind to the tram is a private property for a restaurant. I doubt if the photographer can get such property release from those advertisement and restaurant owners. In fact, I think the photographer cannot get it. Then, why SS approve this photo? Many thanks for your reply.

As Barry pointed out this shot was submitted and accepted as an editorial image. Editorial images can have copyright/trademark protected items in them but they must show that they are newsworthy. If they do and are titled properly they can be accepted but only as an editorial images which has different uses assigned to it.

Many thanks for your explanation. Now I understand what is editorial.
