As a suggestion you might want to think about modernizing your site and have the option of downloading the books after purchasing. I am personally not interested in CD/DVD or printed versions.

Rinder I know it's a little hard, but you have not thought of launching Spanish versions of these courses, it would be great for those who are not naturally English-speaking

It is not our site that handles the book but rather the company that serves as our storefront as well as the company that presses and ships the CD.

We went the download route in the beginning and that was a nightmare. I am currently working on putting our books in Kindle format and looking into how the company we use handles their download feature.

Just so you know with the CD you can save it to your desktop or anywhere else in your computer just like a download file would be saved. It can also be printed.

I think the shadow cast by the nose is too strong and the fact it's falling in an upwards direction (and by the catchlights in the eye) suggests the light is too low. Also looks over softened and there's some colour bleed between background and shirt.

Lovely model, though, and with a few teaks you could get some real crackers.

I've got it. It doesn't deal with lighting, it's really only useful to people who don't know the operational basics of aperture, shutter speeds, hyperfocal distance. DoF, perspective compression, tilt-shift etc. I read it in an afternoon and the only thing that really stood out for me was that his tests showed that for hand-holding you need a shutter speed the reciprocal of three times the focal length - i.e. 1/150s for a 50mm lens - rather than just the simple reciprocal that is usually advised.

There is more about lighting techniques in Vol. 2, The Negative, but that book does get a bit complicated and a lot of it won't interest digital users. Chapters six and seven on natural light and artificial lighting are certainly worth studying.
