# of illos in Top 24 of each CAT
Animals: 10 of 24
The Arts :13 of 24
Fashion: 3 of 24
Business: 3 of 24
and on and on and on endlessly through each Category
....is it going to be a massive purge????...or fair and equal treatment of illustrators? |

If it comes down to illustrator's being second class citizens then in terms of categories...and "X" number of Cats "reserved" for photo's only....
The Only fair method would be to set the keywording system up so that when the illustration/clipart checkbox is marked that those "elitist" Categories are not accessible to us lowly illustrator's from the pulldown menu....Then the illos are given an extra 20 or so keywords to balance out the exposure disadvantage given to our inferior class of contributor's the illustrator's. |

And It continues Yet again another batch
De-categorized.
Is there going to be a purge of ALL illo's in the Technology category or only "select" contributor's illo's allowed???? |

I'd guess from all the places I've seen your gold work that SS would lose out if you decided to pull your work off here because of that.
I hope they sort it out. |

It sends a huge impression to me that illustrator's are not respected the same as photographer's if this is going to be the policy.
By limiting illustrator's exposure in comparison to photographers in the system without some sort of fair and balanced way of doing it that is the only clear message they are sending currently.
It is a shame SS is a great site I would hate to see them travel down the road of "clique elitism" that another unmentionable site has chosen.
The facts are clear if you look over all the top sellers in every category illustrations in all their forms offer a large portion of revenue here so it is most bizzare to see this occuring. |

We are working on a final answer for this. Please be patient and we will post the policy when it is finalized. Sorry for all of the confusion. Thanks.

Scott,
For now can you just categorize the illustrations with the illustration category only. Either that, or you can hold off on uploading until we reach a consensus on this. I hate to ask you to do that, but it may save some frustration for now. We should have an answer no later than early next week. Thanks for understanding and please don't think that we see illustrators as "second-class citizens" here. We all love your work and the work of countless other illustrators that add a special uniqueness to our site.

lumaxart, you mean your images aren't photos!!?? Man I thought you kept that little shiny guy in your garage and fed him solder and nuts and bolts in between photo sessions. I guess one consolation from your upload hiatus will be that SS will lose more money by not having your new images to sell than you will lose. And that little guy can have a week or two off. He's earned it. |

Thanks for bringing this up, Scott. My catagories are being stripped off also. I'll have to hold off uploading more until they get it worked out. Don't like unlevel fields. |

Same here, i've disappeared from several categories already, no wonder my sales on illustrations were going down.

It's always been this way as far as I know for illustrators at SS. They told me several years ago to categorize my stuff under "Illustrations/clipart" only, nothing else.
