Nice. AVCHD? yet another format to think about LOL. Oh for the simplicty of RAW and jpg ;-)

I agree 100%. I bought this camera mainly to shoot the kids as it were, as well as trying out this video malarchy.

I now realise that it is (hopefully) going to be big in the future, I already love it, and will "upgrade" in a year or so when I have the hang of it more.

AVCHD was introduced by Sony and Panasonic. Very few software releases can cope with it yet....sigh...the learning curves in my life just get steeper every week but it is all good fun!
