I just sold my first footage. And I hardly have any uploaded yet and they've only been up about 10 days. I really only uploaded to see how it works but for $29.70 a download I'll be adding more soon :-) |

Hey welcome aboard!
You've got some neat videos. Which clip was it that sold?

Well I was going to see if anyone could guess because I only have 13 clips but it was this one.

The footage itself isn't that exciting but the sale is and it's great that someone sees a use for it. |

Thanks. This one sale has made me realise the potential of footage.
I think I'm going to try some time lapse at the weekend. I'm new to video so have lots to learn but I'm looking forward to it. |

Congrats PJ!
Wait till it becomes a regular thing, it's even sweeter. Like I've been saying for months, the potential is enormous.

Hi pjmorley,
Welcome aboard! I've only sold 4 clips all together but all 4 were in the last 1.5 months... so considering I don't have loads of clips, I feel pretty good about this. It's also very nice to get $30 for a clip... I was on another site months ago and I used to get $2 to $5.... sales volume was good but the return was bad... so I left them and came here... the site works fairly well and the forum support is fantastic.
Best of luck. Happy sales

Glad to se another Brit in the footage area - thought the Canadians were taking over!
Well Done on your first sale mate - keep uploading!

So that's 2 Brits here Chad. Best get uploading before the rest arrive. It's almost spring and they'll be out in force ;-)
Nelson, I also uploaded a couple of clips at the other place and had one sale for a surprisingly small amount. In fact about the same as I get for photos on the same site.
Thanks for the replies everyone. It's encouraging to see that sales are seemingly becoming more regular. I've a way to go before I catch up with you all though, especially the Canadians with their big equipment. ;-) |

I guess we Europeans need to team up if we want to keep pace with the Canadians. ;-) |

Even a whole team with every country in Europe represented would have a hard job keeping up with Francois I reckon. His road trip sounds like it's going to keep him busy for months with all that footage to edit.
You could do the same in any country. I may even consider doing something similar myself here. I've got a couple of weeks at Easter and for the second week we have got some outings planned. Funny I never used to take my video camera with me, always preferring to take my DSLR but I'll certainly be packing the video camera from now on. |
