Hi All,

I would like to start submitting some video here at SS and see how it goes. I'm planning on starting out with 2D and 3D animations. What is the optimal pixel dimension of an animation since I will not be constricted by any certain camera? I see both 16:9 and 4:3 for aspect ratio mentioned in the forum but want to be sure I produce the largest/best possible file size.

I tried searching for other 'animation' questions but search is broken at the moment it seems.

thanks in advance.

i start everything i do at HD 1920x1080. Then I work down from there and make DV sizes in PAL and NTSC. conversions are easy with graphics so why not sell all the sizes.

Hi Pixelgirl,

Oddly enough I ended up finding and looking at your portfolio last night, you have some great animations there! Thanks for the advice that is exactly what I will do. I'm looking forward to starting my first animation this weekend, so we'll see how it goes!

Pixlegirl, do you know how to render an animation in Poser as PAL? Thanks, Wendy

I'm curious what the review time typically is for footage, my clips have been in review for over a week now, is this normal?

thanks

No it isn't. But then it's the Easter weekend and maybe some of the reviewers are on Easter vacation.

Thanks for the info. I think there may have been a problem with my files that I uploaded. I re-compressed them in a different format so I'm hoping that works better.

I've decided to try my hand at animations and have uploaded three, one Tuesday, one Wednesday and one Thursday. All mov.

How long does it typically take to be reviewed? I think I'm spoiled from the photo side and thought at least one would be reviewed by now.

Just curious to see if my animations are stock worthy or if I'm wasting my time and ss bandwith :)

Once I uploaded correctly compressed clips, it took about a week for the approval to come.
