I am not sure, but it seems that some of my clips have created multiple copies during upload.

I had a situation where my connection dropped halfway through an upload, and when I restart the upload, the server allready moved the clip to submission...

By the time I got there, I have two clips with the same filename... which one is the right one?

Any ideas how to get past this?

=========

Can we perhaps see more info on the clips (suggestion to moishe) like total clip time, or something like that?

Happens. Not often, but it does.

Submit both with identical descr./keys and leave a note to the reviewer about it.

I'll second that one.

even file size should give a pretty decent indication that a clip was faulty

Yep.

Once both are submitted and have their preview, it's pretty obvious which one is the broken upload...

The footage id should also give a clue. If you know the earlier one was dropped then that's the one to delete.

Also the earlier submissions appear towards the top of the page and the most recent at the bottom.

if you know it dropped... if you are not sure, then it's a bugger, but yes, right now this is how I try and check, but like the image uploads, they don't always appear in the same order as I upload them, so I am worried that neither does the video...

Ah I see. you are uploading video in batches on one connection. I just upload one at a time now so if I do lose a connection I know that it's only one video affected. The uploads take long enough as it is.

If I want to upload more than one at a time then I do it in a new ftp connection that way you can track progress on individual files.

My connection is so slow currently that I start a batch at night before going to bed... If I do concurrent connections they time each other out :(

On a similiar yet different subject (Didn't think there was a need to start a new thread) Is everyone still waiting for their batches to be reviewed. I'm going on two weeks now, and have now 21 clips waiting to be reviewed.

I uploaded 2 over the weekend and 2 yesterday but that's only a couple of days so don't expect them to be reviewed yet. They took an awful long time to process though.

Sean, if it is any solace for you - I have to upload my batches at night, too. Start before I go to bed and hope to see it just finished when I get up.

I think mine have waited about 10 days, but they did get reviewed yesterday. Obviously I added some more today. ;-)

I made the "mistake"* of waiting for the second clip to be reviewed to see if it will keep its sound before uploading the next ones (all of them without sound... so why did I wait?!)

*(not really mistake, but it feels that way now that I know it works...and have to wait at least another week still, before the next ones will be reviewed)

Review times were a good deal faster once. I trust we'll come back to review times of 2-3 days, but there's quite a lot of stuff in the queue apparently.

I wonder how the queue got so backed up?

I had exactly the same problem on my first clip upload here 2 weeks ago. Dropped connection and reuploaded, but noted to the reviewer the 1st attempt didn't complete the upload and was probably non functional.

The fully uploaded clip was reviewed and accepted about 7 days after submitting. When my queue was empty, I checked the 'pending review' and found my incomplete clip still there apparently waiting for me to delete it, which I promptly did.
