White sheet from walmart, natural sun light from a window with tracing paper covering the window.

Old sneakers, basketball and jersey from the attic. Sepia-toned in photoshop.

I can't wait to spend a couple of days with you RInder. I bough a Nikon SB 800 flash unit and I am completely lost on using it.

I read a few sights and books, but I need a hands one approach to this stuff.

Anyways, my photo:

The tray the food was served on in the restaurant. I have the same shot without the tray, but to many people other clutter in the background.

This is really interesting how so many people here took the common(or the uncommon) and made incredible images.

It is giving me a lot to think about.

There in lies my problem. I have no imagination at all. Awesome stuff people!

Hey Laurin, did you shoot the rose thorns in front of the sky or add the sky behind it? I thought maybe you cut it out with the pen tool or something but that little leafy thing doesn't look like it would cut out very well. Nice shot!

Your not reading. I took a sky shot then had it printed 13 x19 at costco . Then put it behind a thorn piece and shot it again. Absolutely nothing to it. about as simple as it gets. You have no Imagination? Sharon, Thats bullshit, Your entire portfolio is based on Illusian and Imagination. And you do it quite well.................Dont give me that crap. Your damn good at this.

Pressed fabric paper..I have this huge bundle of different colors..

This one was just a plain piece of my daughters construction paper with a light shining from behind...

Background is textured wall in my bedroom, which is a very light blue, and during a long exposure I waved in front of the wall a page painted with watercolor paints by my 4 year old son :)

Nobody wanted this image so far (well, I can't imagine what it could be used for), but I thought it was fun to make. Clips are on aluminum foil, and I held a blue piece of paper above it, so it reflected in the foil.
