Nothing but money laid against a black piece of cloth. You can't see the cloth and it took me a couple of hours to make the money stay in place without glue or pins.

Great point. It doesn't have to be anything amazing- just something more interesting than white!
I found these great foam boards made by Elmer's (the glue company). They are white on one side and colored on the other. Red, blue, green. This means I can use them for a white bounce too. They were about 3 bucks but I got them for $.50 and the smooth surface is nicer than paper. Also, because they are more stiff than poster, they stand/lean against something real nicely.

Blue sky just wasn't working, but I'd heard that The Emerald City in Oz had just installed new power lines; so off I went.

Great ideas everyone. They are starting to get me thinking about my next projects. I will certainly start looking out for creative backgrounds. Does any of you have a picture or an image of the set up? How do you light your subjects? |

My "new" c. 1895 oak kitchen table. I have this image framed and hung on the wall over the table, and people think it's cool that the background in the picture looks just like the table.
