Oh, what a surprice...
2 week mean that the rise will announce in the last day, just keep high the attention of the photographers and save 13 days of money!

It really is a surprise to me,
I counted on it on May 1st, from march to may there were 2 months to plan everything administrative,

At least, now with everyone complaining, they are bound to impress us with at least 50 cents per DL

*complain, gripe, moan, bitch*

C'mon seriously? "In the first two weeks of May" shouldn't mean the 14th. Shouldn't realistically mean the 13th either. I understand it does but what a rip. Just don't tell us when it's coming next time - surprise us. Instead of having a happily "raised" community, you've got a bunch of photographers feeling like you're enjoying the raise, we're not. That's not really nice.. or fair.

my guess is the it is going to be more complex- more tiers, may be exclusitivity options, per photo sales.
I also guess it is not going to make all of us very happy, well because we are expecting too much. I think there are some big changes coming up. BTW, did anyone get a new rejection for lighting-

Poor Lighting--Poor or uneven lighting, or shadows. White balance may be incorrect.
Please lighten, increase contrast, and resubmit. Thanks!

I totally agree with you, anyway this is a classic business strategy...
...but isn't the right way to relate to us.

Well, consider this one of life's lessons, Cyril. Maybe I'm a little jaded and cynical, but to me "We expect to be able to announce the raise to you during the first two weeks of May" really means nothing. That statement gives a whole lot of latitude to the timing without putting ss in the position of not fulfilling their promise.

Had they said "In the first 2 weeks of May, we will announce the raise to you" it would be a completely different thing.

Don't get me wrong - I'm anxious too. It would have been very nice to have received the raise on May 1, but REALLY if you look at that statement, there is nothing in it to imply that would happen. Your expectation of seeing that on the first was optimistic, at best! The way the statement is worded, in fact, gives them room NOT to announce ANYTHING during the first two weeks of May.

Naturally, I would be very disappointed if that happened, but not totally surprised. Would I think that is ss "not playing nice?" Yeah, probably. But I'm preparing myself to know no more by next Wednesday than we know now.

See, that way, if it DOES happen that they give us a raise, it is a happy surprise.

Try not to get TOO frustrated by the things that are outside your own control. And try to read between the lines at what is being said by a statement as ambigious as "we expect to be able to".

Expectations are the devil's work!

I see what you mean perry, but it really doesn't show much good will and made many loose faith in SS that they're gonna announce it on the very last day, probably in the very last hour of the day

Anyway, i know it's not the end of the world, but i just wanted to say it out loud: I'm disappointed..

The way I read that sentence, it does specifically imply that there will be a raise, but it leaves the timeframe of the announcement ambiguous, and not limited to anytime within the first two weeks of May.
