Try reducing the photo size in PS but within the minimum requirement of submission size.

It will help reduce noise on your photo.

Ya a good option , But Not the correct option in the long run. You want EL's?????? I live on them. Go ahead shoot noisy images you can fix by down sizing. What do you have? Nothing but small images with noise. Thats Bullshit!!!.sorry Think about the big picture here. Folks with that way of thinking is killing this site............Period.

So, you're saying that NOT downsizing will increase the possibility of any image being attractive for an EL sale?

I've been pretty plain about my P&S - a nice camera for what it is, but notorious for noise. So, I make a point of downsizing to take advantage of every option I have to reduce the noise.

Perhaps, it would behoove me to submit the fullsized version first in case is DOES pass muster - then submit a downsized version if it does NOT pass (I mean, for noise issues).

But then, if I re-save the larger file once I have downsized it, don't I lose some resolution by doing a second save? So, then the option would be to work 2 seperate versions of the file and resize one before saving to have on-hand, right?

Well, there are some cases where that wouldn't increase the work flow too badly, but many where it would. So which way does the scale tip? Is it possible that re-saving does not compromise the resolution as much as down-sizing helps it?
