Complain complain complain.....

For those of you that do not rely on photography for a fulltime income - did you get a 10% raise this year from your dayjob?
Probably not.

10% aint bad at all.
So all of you that are bent out of shape..see ya.
All the more for me.

Just for the record I do rely on photography for my full time income, although it's not all stock.

I did not get a 10% raise, I got nothing after SS promised a raise was coming! This is crazy!

In percentage terms it varies from reasonable to pretty good, so thanks for that

Don't know many other part jobs where you get 20% increase in pay, thanks SS, now to get 20% more in my fulltime job and I'll be living the high life! :)

That's exactly what I was thinking :-)

So, my take on this would be that the new pricing for customers is causing fewer sales for SS and therefore, they are nervous about long term - otherwise, they'd be passing along higher payouts to photogs. I don't think the new player in the subscription game is helping either.

I do appreciate a raise, but it was a little lower than i'd hoped for.

Why is everyone talking in percentages!? ...becuase it makes it sound better?....3 cents is the real number when you are speaking in such low numbers percentages don't mean anything! I don't pay my bills based on a percentage of my salary. Bottom line is 25 cents, 33 cents, and 36cents all continue to be by far the lowest payment per photo of any stock site in existance.

Really disappointing for me too. I like SS a lot, but this is far from a "pleasant surprise". I'm sorry.

apart from the fact that people like me will get absolutely nothing at all, but I won't even start on this...

3 cents for those with $500 or more? I don't think it will even compensate for what the dollar dropped in the last months! it's not a raise, it means less losses at most

if SS wants to be fair, here's what they should do
charge and pay everything in euros. it's a stable currency, everyone will benefit from this, including those from the US. I'm not even asking for any sort of a raise, just do this simple thing. it's highly unfair that you charge the same nominal prices in dollars to customers from the US and in euros to the others, therefore the euros customers pay over 50% more. if you want to continue this policy, why not pay 25 eurocents to photographers from outside the dollar zone? because it would be unfair? then why do you continue to have a charging system that is unfair to everybody except for one country?
