We do everything we can to prevent fraud. We also update our procedures and automatic detection mechanisms on a regular basis. It's in our best interest to prevent this from happening. Chargebacks cost us $25-35 each and we don't get back the credit card fees for both the charge and refund. We do NOT pass these on to you. We do pass the refund along - and this is in our TOS. We all pay for credit card fraud - this is a cost of doing business on the internet. Unfortunately sharing this cost with our submitters is the only way we can run this business.

Since we charge "card not present," fraud refunds come back to us. There is no way we can ask for a card to be presented to us in person like Walmart does (as somebody mentioned previously). Rules and regulations with regard to credit card transactions are very complex. We suggest you don't try to figure them out - and instead let us. We have employees who spend lots of time minimizing chargebacks and refunds.

We currently don't take back standard license subscription sale revenue from our submitters when the charge is returned to us. We absorb all costs on that product.

Jon
