Just to begin with - you are in the wrong section of the forum. And as for the camera - no one will say you for sure which one is better. It's so obvious, I believe that everyone has his own ideas of what a camera should be and cost. So the answer will be still up to you. |

my advice is get the best you can afford,
as a previous 450d user, forget it..!it doesnt handle noise and definition too well,
wether or not you use a full frame or aps-c,aps-h sensor all depends on what you shoot the most of.
telephoto i recommend aps-c(canon7d,40d,50d),aps-h(canon 1d)
stock work/portrait etc - fullframe (canon 5d,5d mk2,1ds)
And definitely buy the best lenses,im currently using sigmas ex series on my 40d,they are equaly as good as the l series. |

I had D3 and D300.
For the money D300 is excellent camera, but if you are really serious about stock photography go for D3 or D3s. I sold my D300. |

My advice would be to listen to those that said to get the best you think you will be able to afford.
Remember that with a bit of talent it will repay itself after some time.
I have a small Canon S1-Is and a 1DS MK III...both of them take some good pictures...needless to say there is a major difference between the two.
But where i think the difference will be most visible is with what you will be attaching to it.
In my case L glass...no going around it...for CONSISTENT high quality shots...a good full frame camera...shooting raw plus a good lens and some PS skills will bring you a long way.
Pays more than just a few beers for me anyway... |
