I thought i'd hold off for a little while but its been about 4 months now and ive had zero sales. I have a very small portfolio compared to others - 17 vids, but on every other video site ive had sales.

Its bizarre, SS is the quickest and most efficient at approving my vids but i get no sales here. The other sites where i joined much later i am getting regular sales from with the same portfolio. I am also using the same keywords and i have thought alot about the words i use so i dont think that is the problem.

Could it be that SS has such a huge collection of videos that you really need a proportionaly large portfolio in order to get the sales?

Not sure what to say ... you're clips are really first class stuff. With a small portfolio up to a point, downloads are a random event, so I wouldn't worry too much. I have 30 clips and get anywhere between 0 and 4 dls a month. :)

By the way what software/plugins are you using for those liquid simulations ?

Thanks nder,

I use RealFlow for the liquid stuff. I also like your portfolio especially the oceans simulations, very nice.

I guess i need to be more patient then and just keep on uploading. But to be honest i was expecting at least one sale by now.

17 vids is VERY small. Get more, and you'll sell more.

At last had a couple of small sales, thought it was never gonna happen. Will continue to upload.

Your work looks really good. I have a small portfolio also (< 100 vids) and probably average 5-6 sales per month here at SS. One suggestion I would make based on looking at your portfolio is to do more specific stuff than abstracts. I do a lot of space animations because, frankly, I've found out they sell pretty well here and at other places.

You never know what sells. Just keep chugging along, and perhaps put some simpler stuff up, too. Maybe create some basic--but interesting--backgrounds in AE. Those types of clips sell well for me (elsewhere, not so much here).

Yeah what sells here does not there what sells there does not here... BLAH! SS was doing good for awhile this month, not to impressed with it right now though.

BME here, so I am pretty happy. I wish all the sites would hit good at the same time though.

That's so true. One month one site is up, and others are down. It just varies, there's no rhyme or reason to it.

whats' happening? No sales for almost a week even though last month was BME. Things better start popping or June won't be another BME.
