Even voor alle duidelijkheid, op een andere site (BS) moest ik ook een W8-BEN formulier invullen voordat mijn portfolio actief werd.

Daar heb ik geen TIN ingevuld (als individual) en ook hun FAQ zegt:

If I’m an individual non-U.S. contributor submitting images on my own behalf, do I need to submit a TIN?
No. An individual, non-U.S. contributor can choose not to submit a TIN (Taxpayer Identification Number). If you already have a TIN, you might choose to include it on your W-8 for tax purposes. Ask your tax adviser if including your TIN would be beneficial.

Nu neem ik aan dat dat ook voor Shutterstock geldt. Maar hier lees ik opeens dat ik zelfs als invididual een TIN moet aanvragen om die tax treaty te doen gelden??
