why not let it sit there and make money for you. Start your new projects anyway. Why sell the entire batch when you can make more money in the long term and still own the rights to them.

Just saying, I wouldn't sell anything of mine...No one would pay me the price I would want.

Are you going to include your models on Turbosquid? (Hypothetical question as I doubt that the credit limit on my Visa is sufficient to make a bid.)

This stuff has a shelf life. I'm sure Scott has done some calculating about the future potential earnings, how earnings will trail off on existing images, etc., plus whatever his thoughts may be on the future of microstock probably factor in. Might not be a bad idea to get out now if the price is right. Might be more money in it now than there would be if he kept the collection active himself.

Are you selling all 23764 images or just the golden ones?

I am guessing an offer would have to be higher than around between $85,000. and a quarter million.

23,764 x 10¢ per image per month = $2,376.
x12month x 3 years is abt $85,000.

So what would be the price?

Starting bid?

$1 per image?

@LuvThatVert:)
on one hand I would say that $3k per month is a low estimate, but on the other hand 3 years in micro stock is a lot of time. Nevertheless I would be able to make those graphics from scratch for far less than $80k.

Also from my experience 3D characters are not selling as well as one would expect.

Could be that his next plan requires a lump sum to get started...

I wonder, how technically such a sale is done?
Changing the name of author? Resubmitting passport copy/ID on all stocks?
Or... Deleting and uploading from 0?

Anybody knows what is legal aspects of such sale?
What should be sold?

Because, we have to be authors of our works to submit it almost anywhere? Author rights or what...?

Luvthatvert, I am curious as to how you come up with a figure of 10cents/image/month.
Is this an industry standard estimate?
