People have asked Scott this question for years and of course he is not giving the answer. These are unique to Scott so it would not be the best business decision to give out that type of information. |

23,764 x 10ยข per image per month = $2,376.
x12month x 3 years is abt $85,000. |
Luvthatvert, I am curious as to how you come up with a figure of 10cents/image/month.
Is this an industry standard estimate? |
Regradless of guesses,
nobody in reight mind would buy it without full disclouser how much it makes today and stats for last year at least. |

I would guess that it's either
3DS Max or Poser?
But either way I think you're crazy doing this scott but good luck anyway.

If you wanna do 3D for free, get Linux and download Blender. |

You can do blender on windows also.
Someone has to know what software he uses, it can't be that big of a secret, since there aren't tons of software to do this. |

Obviously a 3D program. My guess would be 3ds max if he's on a PC. Maya or something similar on mac..?
Winner wins the portfolio? ;)
(wich is an awesome one btw Mr. Lumaxart! I remember seeing a powerpoint presentation at school using one of your little dudies with the iS logo still over it!...tsk tsk tsk. Looking forward to the new things you'll be doing, good luck!) |

Mostly landscapes but you can import 3d objects into the program and give them for example a shiny gold texture. |

Thanks Everyone for the kind words.
I have sold several "Large" Illustration Collections over the years to various companies.
I could just as easily continue these guys myself until I am in my 80's there is always room for expansion growth and new markets that have not been tapped or explored.
Off Topic:
Any Rebel A's still around besides Dawn H and myself? |

can i buy someone's image right to be re-uploaded again on shutterstock? i read that we can't upload something that is not created by ourself. Can someone clarify this issue? Great portfolio scott, i think only big company can afford your large number of images |

you have to be the copyright holder.
So you have to have created it,
or your employee (under the agreement you get copyright of the work done in your employ, which is usually the case).
Or someone gives you the copyright for some reason.
Or its in public domain as copyright expired (although not all agencies accept this)
In this case I would assume it would be a transfer of copyright to the purchaser so that they "owned" the images. |

any real buyer will want the sellers info for the last 3 years on each site before touching it for more then $1.00.
Buying blind is buying dumb. |
