Don't worry about the amount of your vectors, at least not for now. Go for their quality. Try to be original. Do your best. Work several hours for a vector, be sure it is the best you can do and it will sell very well.

Hello,
I'm new as well.. I upload 1-2 vectors a day (but it's just a hobby for me - I have a full-time job). But Adi is definitely right, you should go for the quality. Oh, and I read somewhere in this forum, that you should never upload the same day you create the vector. You will see it different the next day. I think this is so true.

Some valid points, I agree with you both. I have a full-time job so anything I do has to be in my spare time. Not that a lot of my time is spare these days :)

I definitely agree with the quality issue. Nowadays, this fact is more important than ever.

I usually upload about 3 per day... I've been creating and uploading vectors for 2 months now and have a portfolio of about 230 images

I think quality is really important, but more than that is creativity, cuz there's a lot of people there doing high technical quality stuff

Take a look at my website, there I show how has it been to work as a microstock illustrator from the very beggining.

Gu -Nice site, very open of you to show your day by day figures on sales. Makes for some interesting reading.

I'll keep plugging away at the portfolio and hopefully the figures will reflect the effort :)

thanks!

I've been doing that because when I was just so curious to know how much money it would be possible to make and it was really hard to find that information. There are many sites that show their month earnings, but I'd like to share something more detailed

Cheers

I'm adding 3-4 each week. I'm a slow one, too. :)
Good work needs time, eh? ;)

And btw, I don't think there's a limit for how much money you can make. Depends on many factors, but you could end up as a Yuri Arcurs earning some cool 1,3 millions a year. :)
