Don't be so stubborn :-P You just were unlucky. It is totally okay to send in eps+jpg and seperate jpg of the same illustration.
Done it many times, 0 rejections.

Even 2x fullsize jpg and 1 eps has always passed, without any problems.

Maybe you were uploading several illustrations which were a little bit too simular?

I'm not stubborn.
It was what I recent run into.
And before someone new was wondering why they get this rejection reason I tried to explain from my own experience.
That's all no hard feelings and definitely not STUBBORN.
And NO non were similar.

No hard feelings (notice the :-P) But I still think you were unfortunate, but never mind.

Yeah not everybody is lucky :-)

I'm only glad so far they accepted every vector I submitted. So I'm lucky in submitting stuff.

Hi, I'm confused, I thought the jpeg file was just for a preview?

No, SS also accepts jpeg versions of them up to 25mp (5000 x 5000 pixels or equivalent). they don't sell nearly as well as the vector versions, but getting a few extra DLs doesn't hurt my feelings!

Everyone seems to have their own method for uploading, but here's how I do it:

filename.eps
filename.jpg (for preview, about 500px)
filenameLG.jpg (for sale, as close to 25mp as I can get)

The eps and the preview jpeg have identical names, so SS automatically assigns the jpeg to the eps as its preview image. I don't believe the large jpeg needs to have a different name, but I do it for my own storage methods.

Hi evaners, thanks for the tips. So do you think SS would have a problem with me uploading jpeg versions of all my vectors so far (round 20 odd)?

No, not at all, go right ahead. Though you might want to start with just a couple first, to be sure there aren't any technical issues with the files before you make all 20.

Oh, one thing, I just took a quick look at your portfolio (nice work), and you do have one illustration with "Sample text". It's best to remove any sample text before making a jpeg for sale, since it's much more difficult for the buyer to remove it from a jpeg than it is from a vector.

My pleasure :) You have a good day too -- I'm off to bed, it's nearly 3am here. Maybe get a few hours' sleep!
