Hi everyone,

Just a quick one to say thanks to all of you here especially Chris & ckaeseberg for your helpful tips. Each agency has different ways of doing things and all the info I needed was right here!

I uploaded my first 10 vectors yesterday night and all approved by this afternoon - yay!!

Now, to upload more!

Umm... just a quick question... how on earth did you guys manage to get your avatars to under 9 kb?!

princesszelda, In adobe illustrator, after finishing the image I choose save for web under file and then you choose image size, input the numbers and hit apply and then choose save. This will save the image as a jpeg in the size you select.

owenransen you are wrong, and christopherhall is write, you have to safe: file1.eps with file1.jpg (same name and diferent extension)if you don´t do like the system will not recognize the jpg when you upload it because don´t have the same name of the eps

To upload you first 10 vector images follow the instructions below.

3 - Save both files with the same name (e.g. file1.eps with file1.jpg).

If anyone else has anything to add or if I have made a mistake please feel free to comment.

That point 3 is *wrong*. The files should be file1.eps and file1.eps.jpg else your system will not accept it.

No, that's right... Doubling your extension like that ("filename.eps.jpg") can result in an unstable or corrupted file.

Each file (regardless of the software you are using to create it) should have only one extension and one "dot". I can't tell you how often I've not been able to open a customer's files because a salesperson saved the file with two extensions.

4 - Go to the Submit screen and then via HTTP.

5 - Set the number of 'photos' to 2 (disregard the use of the word photo it is the same screen to upload photos as vectors)

4a - If you are feeling advanced you can select 20 and do the following all at once.

Thanks this was very helpful! But I couldn't select 20 images since my account was in review mode. By adding a "browse row" everything worked out fine.

Anyway, the submit by Shutterstock is quite confusing though...
