I posted this in another post, but not sure if any SS staff had seen this; i'd like to get some SS staff attention on this.

It would be nice if SS had an actual phone number where submitters could receive support assistance LIVE. At least for taxes purposes. There is a support phone # for SS customers, so why not for submitters??

Also, it's been much more then 24 hours since i've sent an email to the tax help centre. Could it be that it's taking them that long to respond?? I'd prefer to get a response ASAP, because as i said it before, i'd like to know if i can get a refund for the money that was withheld from my account, that i am assuming was for tax purposes. Others, here at SS, indicated they have a similar problem.

Hi digitaln,

You should be hearing back from a support rep soon who will answer your questions. We currently do not have live phone support for submitters. Please note that Monday was a U.S. holiday so the office was closed.

I don't know the details of your inquiry to taxhelp@, but if you have not yet visited the tax center, you may be able to get some answers there.
