Wow Kippy, well done on being in the top 20 (as if the SS peeps did not have a little something to do with that.... ha ha) but your drive, personality and absolute charm bowled us all over. :)

You just hit 8th place by 1 vote. 7th had one more vote than you.

Had a big giggle this morning. I just mentioned that you are 1 point to being in 7th place and my lodger said, 'Well, you vote and I vote, and she's there'. Might add that he looked rather dissapointed that the vote is over, just like a child who lost his lolly pop....lol. Good luck FEEL GOOD KIPPY.

Can't wait for next round.

Thank you to ALL of you who are continuing to vote! I really do appreciate it. :)

Stefanie I absolutely believe in that. Someone on my blogs recently credited me with pretty much changing his life with my positive attitude. I'm not sure I have THAT much power .. haha. If I do, I think I better run for President or something. :) But I do believe that positive energy travels a long way, even over computer wires. But then again, people have poked fun at me for admitting less. ;)

I just noticed where you're from. Funny, I just finally found a place today to order some Nurnberger Gluhwein for my Gram for Christmas. :) She's an 88-year-old German lady with maybe even a greater zest for life than _I_ have, if that's possible. hehe. Anyway, just made me smile. I hope you have a great weekend!

So, first of all, you most definitely should give me the link to you good-vibes-blogg. I do need more of that!

Secondly, if you need some more or rather original Nürnberger Glühweihn or Lebkuchen let me know, we might find a way to please your Granny.

rss, my Gram definitely agrees with you! She grew up in Germany and loooooves the stuff. For the past few years I haven't been able to find the Nurnberger brand that she so loves, here in the States, but I just found a new seller, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I don't get an email saying, "Gee, we're sorry. We know our web site SAID we had some but no, we don't." That has happened a lot to me in the past.

Hehe, I have a feeling it was Krystal's goal just to beat me in all this, Chatterbox. I watched the voting yesterday ... she got about 200 votes in 3 hours yesterday evening. At 8:53 I logged in (voting was to end at 9 our time) because I was really curious to see if they ended the voting really right at midnight EST or not, and how they handled it. At 8:53 she was 30 votes behind me, so she somehow got the last 31 in 7 minutes. Methinks there was a little trickery there, or something. haha. Either way, it matters not because I am IN the top 20 and I get to apply! YAY! Truth told, if beating me made her day, then good by me. :) Because I am soooo jazzed to be applying for this job! :D

Picking two dogs, especially a brown and black, to symbolize friendship is perfect for me, as our "children" are two English Labs .. one black, one chocolate. :) Thank you!

And thank everyone, SO much! I'll keep you posted here as to what's happening and when the voting starts back up. You all are AWESOME!! :D

Aw, Stefanie .. if I make it I absolutely will!! :D

And thank you so much for such a kind and generous offer! I will let you know if this order falls through. Usually when I go to websites here to order the wine, they will say they're out of stock right up until the point where I'm about to pay, then they say they are "indefinitely out of stock" ... some of the less reputable places let me pay before they tell me, then I have to go through the rigamarole of getting a refund. *sigh*

She gets some Lebkuchen locally in New Jersey. She belongs to the German Club there, and apparently there are quite a few German food stores. But never Glühwein, oddly enough. Ah well .. this year she will be surprised! YAY! And now I know someone else I can visit in Germany whenever I make it back over there. :D

Thank you again, for such an awesome offer! I really, really appreciate it.

An opportunity, if you want it.

Today I got confirmation from the company offering this job, congratulating me on making it into the top 20, and giving me more details about how to complete Phase 2 of the applications.

My blog friends have been asking me if there's any way they can help, so I had the idea of asking the company if I can include a url in my 250-word essay and they said I could!

So I opened up a blog for my friends to throw in their 2 cents' worth on why I would be good for the job. Unfortunately you can't comment without registering on Multiply so I will not be the least bit offended if you choose not to, but I didn't want to exclude any of you if you wanted to post something there, too. You have all been so amazingly supportive and I really, really appreciate it. I definitely wanted to make sure I included you in this step, too. :)

Ok, not sure if I should still be posting here, or should start a new thread or what. :)

But I thought I'd give you all a sneak peek if you wanted! I uploaded my video and sent off my essay last night, got confirmation this morning, so they will be sending me the link to my stuff tomorrow, so that I can send to friends and family to vote if they so desire. :)

Here's the video! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VC7URpls_mQ

Enjoy and .. please go easy on me .. I'm no pro! haha.

My pleasure. Making a video like that is not an easy task for anybody, but especially not easy if you don't do it that often.

I am sure you get that gig. They don't have another option :)

Aw, thanks, my Chatterbox pal. :) I promise to post the link as soon as they send it to me tomorrow. :)

Rudy, I'm embarrassed to even say how many hours I worked on that video. So many takes on the beach (I promised my blog friends an outtakes/blooper reel .. so I'll be sure to post the link to THAT here, too .. haha), and so many voiceover takes, only to have to rush to do it AGAIN at the last minute because I was ONE second over! Augh! And how do you fit everything you want to say in 90 seconds, anyway? haha. At any rate, I really appreciate the votes of confidence .. thank you!
