My laptop is not ideal for editing, so not sure how this really looks. |
Last time I was there, I took a photo of the Mittens from just about the same spot. I have it hanging in my family room.

Wow, we are doing some serious photography here. Everyone is learning faster than can be expected and quite excellent work is being produced! Our days typically begin at 06:00 at the lastest and final lights out at around 21-22:00 - we don't waste one lumen of light - everyone should shoot this place.

The last of us just got back from our day of shooting. Some of us went to Mystery Valley where we had a guide take us to some out of the way places and some VERY out of the way places. The Hummer did a great job as did Bryan's Pathfinder. It was some pretty hairy terrain!
Our guide Lee even arranged for us to shoot a 99 year old Navajo woman and her 77 year old daughter all decked out in their full Navajo costumes.
The other part of the group went to Canyon de Chelly and they said they had a great time and captured some amazing images.
Hopefully some will be able to post some shots before the day is over. We are going to be reviewing shots tonight and then Katrina is going to give her part of the workshop on Photoshop.
So far it seems that a great time has been had by all. Time to head down to dinner, all of us are starved!

For those of us who traveled on to the Canyon de Chelly found that our timing was happily excellent - most of the oak trees in the canyon has turned a most excellent yellow and orange.

Everyone should be making their way home now after a wonderful workshop with great people. Laurin and I along with Paul and Katrina want to thank everyone for what they added to the workshop. It was great to meet our old friends as well as our new ones.
We hope everyone has a safe trip home and I am sure we will start seeing some of the amazing images these talented people captured.
