Where do you live and what do you do for a living? I'm betting that you must be in the travel business or are a Captain of a cruse ship.

Mike, if I tell you where I live, for sure you will ask me where it is :) And I am not sure that you have even heard of a country like this. It's called Moldova. Just between Romania and Ukraine. At the moment, I am a network administrator in a company. IT staff, earning 400$ a month (surprised?). I got my first DSLR camera 2 years ago. By that time I was working indeed on a cruise ship, but not as a captain but just a simple tour officer. Most of the exotic pictures I had taken being there, in the indian ocean. Indeed I was lucky to be there. Pity that by that time I had no clue what stock is and I had very little knowledge of digital photography, otherwise I would have tons of good pictures, because the places there are amazing. Still all my pictures I have, were made by a Nikon D40x with a standard 18-55mm lens. Don't have anything else, not even a flash, simply because I can't really afford it. Although I am thinking of a flash because I feel the need of it dramatically. That's how my story goes. And I want to grow and reach for more in photography, being here, makes learning easier because of your help guys.

Cheers

Eastern Europe?! From your images I thought for sure you lived in Tahiti or hung out with Jimmy Buffett in Key West!

If you get a flash make sure you purchase the Nikon Speedlight that was made to be used with your D40x. Also get the external cord so you can learn to use the flash off of the camera. With the Nikon cord the flash will have all the functionality off the camera as when it is on the camera.

I am dreaming for an SB900, and one day I will get it, just not there yet, cause it's quite expensive for me :)

Thanx for your support Mike !
