Hi everyone,

I wanted to say "thank you" to all who post in here with advice. I just uploaded my first ten vectors and all were accepted and have then submitted my 2nd batch, all again accepted.

This would not have been possible without the hours I spent in here when I began, reading through all the questions asked and the helpful, detailed answers posted by experienced users. From workflow steps to keywording to Shutterstock policies to Illustrator tips, the help I found in this forum was most useful and really amazing.

Special thanks to akaiser, donsawvel, freebeer, rformidable, Mike Price, bluecherrygfx, one8edegre, helix7, franksap, smarsenault and daemys.

The time you took others answering their specific questions also helped me. Many, many thanks. I started having images downloaded within hours of my batches being accepted!

My portfolio (small but growing) can be seen at http://www.shutterstock.com/g/greg291

Any suggestions or comments are always appreciated.

Sincerely,
Greg Cohen (Greg291)

Hi Greg,

Nice portfolio.

I agree the people who take the time to help in these forums are brilliant. My special thanks would have to go to Anja who was a great help to me when I started.

I am glad that it worked for you. And I must say it is an honour for me to be mentioned among these brilliant people that you say thanks to.

It is really rare to find a person that takes time and checks the forums and follow the gudelines and tips and tricks and look first before asking and than have a 100% accepted images.

KUDOS to you and good luck.

Hope you will have as much fun here as I do.

Hiya Greg,

Looks like we both joined a day apart from each other!

I would like to take this opportunity to join you in thanking all the friendly, helpful people here. This is definitely one of the best forums! Like you, I spent a lot of time here reading all the comments and advice before I uploaded - absolutely priceless. Yup, 10 out of 10 accepted and very happy here!!

Wishing you every success at SS :D

p.s. I see you're in Lanai. I was lucky enough to live on Big Island for a couple of years... I miss it (sigh)...

Hi Christopher,

I was on vacation, so sorry for the delay in responding.

Just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to look at my post and portfolio. This forum was a huge help to me.

Thanks, again,

Greg

Hi PrincessZelda and Free Beer, as you can see from my reply to Christopher, I'm a bit late getting back to you all due to vacation, but wanted to say how much I appreciated the warm welcome and your both taking the time to read my post.

On the subject of Hawaii, Zelda, the Big Island is one of our favorite places to spend a weekend. Lanai is really tiny (3000 people, 1 gas station, 2 tiny grocery stores, no book or computer stores, etc., so it's very quiet, clean and peaceful, but island fever is a constant threat. Thus our regular trips to Maui and the Big Island.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Hey Greg,

Welcome back. Hope you had a nice holiday.

I like those tribal designs you've got.
I've been toying with doing some Hawaiian quilt inspired designs soon, after I've finished with the psychedelic design fixation I'm going through right now.

Looking forward to chatting with you soon.

PZ :)
