I think all predictions of this sort — whether gloomy or wildly optimistic — are basically just flights of fancy. Let's just do our work and see what happens.

"tomorrow never comes, because today is yesterdays tomorrow"
or something to that effect

if I knew what Tomrrow would bring I would play the LOTTO today!

Mike, there are several quotes like that one. One is:

Yesterday is gone, forget it. Tomorrow never comes, don't worry about it. Today is here, use it and may your life be like a snowflake that leaves its mark but never a stain.

There is also another one attributed to Mother Theresa which goes “Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.”

There are always bad months coming, depending on who you talk to. It's fall, it's the summer slowdown, it's winter holidays, it's the 2nd Wednesday after a full moon in a month that has at least 7 letters in it's name, whatever. It's all garbage. A good portfolio performs year-round.
